Malaysia launches electric car with the brand e-mas 7 made by the national automotive industry Proton
Malaysia’s national car industry Proton is teaming up with China’s Geely to produce the first electric-based car, which is planned to be the national electric-based car for the Malaysian market.
Malaysia launches electric car is certainly a matter of pride for national automotive production after Vietnam with its Vinfast electric car.

The e-mas 7 has a Global Modular Architecture (GMA) battery system and is powered by a 12-in-1 intelligent electric propulsion system and is equipped with Cell-to-Body (CTB) battery architecture with the introduction of the Aegis Short-Blade Battery, a new generation of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery.
Having a 2 in 1 drive system generates 160 kW of torque, which supports e.MAS 7 acceleration from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 6.9 seconds. While the braking distance from 100 km per hour to a stop can be achieved in 35 meters.

The e mas 7 is also planned not only for the domestic market or for Malaysians but also for the global market and the first targets for the e mas 7 car made by Proton and Geely are Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago, Mauritius, and Nepal, with the launch in Singapore planned for early 2025.
